What to Expect the day of treatment
At Lone Star Aesthetics, all Sculptra treatments are performed by Jaclyn Schmedt, RN, BSN, LE, an experienced aesthetic nurse specialist. Your treatment begins with a personalized consultation to assess facial anatomy, volume loss, and your aesthetic goals. Your Sculptra treatment begins with cleansing the skin using an alcohol prep to ensure a sterile treatment area then topical numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort. Sculptra is then administered using small sized needles/cannulas to provide the most comfortable, minimally painful experience possible. Sculptra is then strategically injected to ensure balanced, natural-looking results.
After treatment, patients are instructed on proper aftercare for optimal collagen stimulation.

What to Avoid After Sculptra® Treatment
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
Avoid excessive heat (saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms) for 24–48 hours
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours to minimize swelling and bruising
Avoid touching, pressing, or applying makeup to the area for at least 12–24 hours
Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (unless prescribed) for 24–48 hours
Avoid facials, massages (other than instructed), or other skin treatments for at least 1–2 weeks
Avoid prolonged sun exposure or tanning immediately after treatment

How to Prepare for Your Sculptra® Treatment
Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment
Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and turmeric) for 5–7 days unless medically necessary
Stay well hydrated before your treatment
Avoid scheduling your treatment within 2 weeks of important events or photos to allow time for any swelling or bruising to resolve
Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup and skincare products
Inform your provider of any medical conditions, medications, or recent treatments
Pro Tip
Eating a light meal before your appointment can help prevent lightheadedness and keep you comfortable during treatment.
If you tend to bruise easily or are on blood thinners that you cannot stop taking Lone Star Aesthetics does recommend stopping into the office to purchase Arnica tablets that can be taken several days prior to treatment.
